SHABBAT & HOLIDAYS

Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat:

Weekly Shabbat activities and dinner are a staple of Cleveland Hillel’s calendar!

During the school year (August- May) we host multiple Shabbat experiences both in and out of the Hillel building. Our Shabbat experience at Hillel aims to bring together students in a vibrant community setting.

Services, discussions, or tikkun olam projects are held each week at 5:30 pm, and are followed by a free and delicious kosher meal. All are welcome to attend and encouraged to bring friends or visitors!

Many weeks feature themed meals and activities ranging from Greek Shabbat to Harry Potter Shabbat to Yoga Shabbat and everything in between.

Chag Sameach!

Holidays:

Hillel strives to celebrate holidays in ways that appeal to students’ interests and fit their packed schedules.

Hillel offers High Holiday services as well as tickets to local synagogues.

For Passover we offer Seders, lunches, and dinners.

Students can also expect exciting opportunities for Sukkot, Hanukkah, Purim, and Tu B’Shvat celebrations in addition to meaningful opportunities for Yom Hashoah and other holidays.

Make sure to check out our calendar, so you don’t miss some of the fabulous events and celebrations!
